iRV2 2013 National Rally Event info Here!

We are a few weeks from our national rally! Here's some early schedule info. There is so much to do in this area that there's a fair amount of free time built into the schedule, trying to strike a good balance of group activities and time to explore this beautiful area.

Here's the (evolving) plan:

Sunday (9/8):
  • Check in. The rally officially begins today!
  • 6 PM Welcome dinner w/ Special Guest Speaker (local historian to provide an overview of the area)

Monday:
  • Morning coffee
  • Village walking Tour 11 AM | Get to know the area. Start off your visit with a guided walking tour. The tour is easy walking around downtown and under 1 mile. At the end of the tour consider lunch at one of the several eateries located centrally.
  • Monday afternoon on your own.
  • Evening Group Campfire

Tuesday:
  • 8 AM Catered B-fast
  • 10:00 Morning Seminar (TBA)
  • Tuesday afternoon | Self Directed
  • Evening Fire

Wednesday:
  • Morning Coffee
  • Day on your own - Golf, tours, shopping antiquing, read a book, take a nap etc
  • Evening Fire

Thursday:
  • Morning Coffee
  • Morning | Self Directed
  • Ice Cream Social (early afternoon)
  • Special activities available:
    • 1-4 PM Guten Appetit Sampling Tour - Reservations required
    • Theater Production 3 PM Curtain | comedy - reservations recommended
  • Evening Fire

Friday:
  • Morning Coffee
  • Self directed day - spend time with friends, check out that last settlement, etc.
  • 6 PM Catered Dinner & GreenBriar Band

Saturday:
  • Hugs and Handshakes and Goodbye

The Conference Center will be open each day and nightly for group games or other activities and there's lots to do in the area. Here are some links to area information:

Any golfers in the group? We have played the Amana course several years ago - nice course and are planning to play again while we are in the area.

Looks like a good mix of organized and free time. Hopefully the weather will continue to be very nice. The Farmers in the area would love to have a nice shower or two while you are in the area so if everyone forget's their umbrella or other rain gear and it rains a bit you will be invited back and maybe frequently.

I had to buy mine (as well as four additional sensors for the toad) at last years event but they do give you a huge piece of mind factor.

Blue Ox is a great tow bar but, if they rebuild it make sure you check it over. Last year they rebuilt mine and forgot to put the jam nut on the inside of the tube and I almost lost my toad. I will be sure to let them know about it this year. They did take care of it but had to drive the toad and MH both to the RV dealer. Jim

Registered for my overnight spot for Sunday and Monday nights. I have my RV a few miles away so will only be bringing the truck and maybe a motorcycle. Have to go back to Work Wednesday for three 12 hour shifts in a row.

Rode the motorcycle through Amana, South Amana, High Amana and West Amana today. very nice ride and almost all freshly paved road. One truck putting rock on the road edge but no other road repair activities. If you are coming on I 80 from the West, get off at HWY 21 North and follow the Amana signs. You will be all relaxed by the time you get to the campground.

Can't get a response to the campground

Hi Everyone, we are in Manitoba Canada, and are thinking of coming to the rally. The number for the campground does not work from Canada. We sent an email to the campground 3 days ago, and haven't had a response. Does anyone know how we can contact the campground to book the reservations. We sent the email to the email address on their website the armana rv host?

Thankyou
Heather
