Bob,

I just called ABC and talked with Michelle. She gave me the band names as well as all the staff names to add to the photos!

Don,

Thanks for the input. That's the point the manager in Tupelo made, that the rear engine, short drive shaft would be much more compromised with the blown air bags. It wasn't a pleasant ride, especially when a bridge suddenly appeared that wasn't precisely level with the roadway. I know if I felt the jarring up front, Judy had it rougher in back. But we're home and everybody slept in their own beds last night.

We made it home today. It was a pleasant ride until I-76 and I-80 (east of the Turnpike) in Ohio.

Those 2 highways should be closed until they are safe. How can they retain an Interstate Highway certification? The signs should be taken down !!

If you travel I -80 (east or west bound)near Lake Mandrea (sp?) stay on the inside lane, the temporary outside lane is dangerous, full of ruts, cracked concrete and very uneven edges, and the lanes are not 10 ft wide...closer to 8 ft !! I made a lot of folks mad when I hogged up up both lanes to stop the trucks from almost rubbing me.

It was so bad I wanted to stop and check for parts that may have fallen off. When we got home I did find that the heat shield along the right side exhaust pipe was broken loose and just hanging on by the 4 bolts I added sometime ago when welds broke.

Yea, Ted, I know the area you are talking about.
It is unreal that they are allowed to have it in that condition while they put that other section in.
Just curious, why were you up that far north?

Flytyer -

Your trip home on that road sounds like an extension of our return trip down through Oklahoma on US 69! I felt as if I had ridden a bucking horse all day long. Finally at 3:30 pm (after 8 hours on the road) I had to go out of that truck! I'm still sore!

We are now at Castle Rock Co heading west to Seattle. We need to have a wiper motor serviced here on Monday ( mounts got loose and is jammed) then off to Seattle. Does anyone have input on Highway 50 from here through Colo Springs to Grand Junction? I here there is a tunnel issue now on I 70.

We made it home yesterday. We spent 3 nights in Eureka Springs AR, 2 in Mountain View AR and 1 at Lake Livingston State Park in TX on the way. Had loads of fun at the rally and on the way home. Washed the trailer this morning and put back in storage. Will tackle the Excursion tomorrow.

Still working my way home from Branson, we're at a COE CG on Lake Barkley at "Land Between the Lakes" in KY. Stopped at the public library in Princeton, KY to get Internet connection. Heading out to Seven Points CG on Percy-Priest Lake on Wed and from there home on Friday.

We're still on the road. We stopped into All Stars RV in Louviers Colo this am to get the windshield motor remounted. They did a wonderful job and we went to Colo Springs, Leadville, Vale then stopped in Glen Springs for the night. We got the last space in the area for the night.
