Several of us have been talking about bring our motorcycles or renting one when we get to the Rally. I am looking at a few places to ride to. We have several mornings tours are not planned and if your not doing a tour you will have that time also. I will plan a few and bring maps with so you can have them.
We are looking at Deals Gap better know as the Dragon it has 318 curves in 11 miles. This will not be a speed test , I like to enjoy the rides. Its a must do if your in the area.
If your interested in this ride or maybe theres one you would like to do , post here and we can see how many we will have.
Who says RV Rallies are for RV's only?

Well, since you've refused to transport my BMW in your new toyhauler ( ), I guess if there's a Hardly-Davidson ( ) rental place around, I'm in for renting a bike. That will certainly eliminate any contests of speed!

The Smokies are a "can't miss" riding area!

That's probably for the best. That way no one will puncture a tire if they run over any of the parts that fall off nor will they drop their bikes should they run through any of the oil that leaks out.

Welcome aboard. Glad to have you with us, I am waiting for the area tour maps to arrive and I will plan a few trips with estimated times and distances. Then we can all decide what we want to do as I stated before the Dragon is a must slow and easy and enjoy.

The dragon is a MUST RIDE! Have taken our wing on it at least 6 times; and its a slight different challenge running it backwards (south to north). There is also a nice day ride towards GA, that has a water fall that you can ride behind.

We rode the Dragon last year on our Harley, (and did not leak any oil or drop any parts). It was raining lightly pretty much all day and my wife and my friends wife followed in our truck. One of the NC revenue producing agents, (read crooks in blue), gave my wife a ticket for not stopping a minimum of 3.5 seconds (?) at a stop sign, which she did, and when politely presented with the fact that she had driven almost 40 years and NEVER had a traffic, citation, was told "well this will be the first".

Point being, you are there to have a good time and the Dragon is fun to ride, but NC just sees you as a blank check. Be careful!

It's all in good fun, but some of us remember the bad old AMF days!!

Thanks for the heads-up about NC.
