Stuck in Fl where it's cooler than most places. Be very careful on the dragon. There are too many newbie's that don't know how to ride. One almost took me out last year. Have fun, be safe.

Even if you can't transport a bike, there are several motorcycle rental outfits in the area. Also, a few years ago there was a tremendous law enforcement effort on the Tennessee side of the Dragon - I don't know if it's cooled down yet or not. You might want to check HERE as the National Rally dates draw near.

Ditto on the cops, newbies and more specifically the crotch rockets trying to do the Dragon in 5 minutes, the reason for all the cops. The last time we were there, in one round trip, the wife had 2 and I had 3 near head ons buy these idiots passing on the curves. Completely ruined our experience. Hope your's is better.

We may see you all out on the Dragon. Our car club, thirdgen.org (82-92 Camaro & Firebird) are having a meet on Saturday on the Dragon. Sunday we are going to cruise from Cherokee to Pigeon Forge to the Fall Rod Run. Don't worry, we will be careful watching out for motorcycles. Many of our members ride also... You all be safe and have a great time!

The wife and I are thinking of doing the National and I already mentioned to her about bringing one of the Harleys. I've done the Dragon before and wasn't that impressed with it. We have some back roads here on the SC/NC/Ga border that in my opinion are more intense and fun to ride on. Plus less bikes and newbies on rice rockets to worry about.
