How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

I don't think I would stay at a facility that has such a policy about Motorcycles. I ride a Goldwing and it makes less noise that a big diesel pusher Motorhome.
Maybe there should be a policy, No Diesels allowed!!!

Ridiculous !
I agree with the quote, no diesel pushers. No teens on golf carts. No cars with dual exhaust. Because all of these are louder than my bike. I am ok with smart policies and I too hate loud bikes but when it's just plain idiotic, I'm out.

You are right about one thing. There are other campgrounds. And that's where you will find me.

I suggest for future rallies to select campgrounds that just don't accommodate the majority when so many great places can accommodate all.

Have fun all!

At Ocean Lakes now. Yup, no motorcycles. Crazy, they don't enforce kids under 16 driving golf carts and electric scooters recklessly all over the place but no motorcycles? I will say however, the designated area for motorcycles appears quite safe. ( beside guard house) . Which means you have to rent a golf cart to get back and forth to your bike. Quite the scam, lol 4 days to rent a golf cart is $214......oh well,

Hi All,
Thanks online 17 for the info on Bike parking area! However I am lucky enough to have plenty of friends that will be at the rally, and that are willing to give me rides back & fourth to my Bike. So no need for me to rent one of there golf carts! I have been to this campground a few times and also agree they need to pay more attention to kids on golf carts & scooters!

For the "National Rally." all members wearing their ID wallet and credential will be afforded a 50% discount on the Mid-September rate for the week when they check out a Golf Cart.

In my experience having camped here for 10 years or so, golf carts are fun. One of my biggest grips is that underage drivers do operate carts at times however for the most part there's only a small number of them.
