I'll eat and drink to that. My step father is from near there and was a crabber for a living. Boy can he make crabs.

Thanks for the thought.. but the folks down at the Rivah have been steaming crabs for 400 years.. they do a great job the Virginia way..

Just got home from the crab feast weekend at Bethpage.. had a great time..

They have expanded the pool (took out the tennis courts) and added several slides and toys..

The Boat, The Bethpager, was running tours Saturday, great fun..

DriVer, We saw you the Rivah Rally (crab feast) weekend that you were there with Workhorse.. lots of good improvements since then..

Steamed crabs are good, but Cajun style boiled are better.

NALSO, We put on a Low Country Boil or "Frogmore Stew" at the Rally we hosted in Myrtle Beach in 2008. It was BIG hit! The traditional way is to cook it and dump it out on brown paper and have folks help themselves.

We were a bit more conservative and served it from pans.

I was going to be very disappointed if I invited people from all points in this country and not give them an opportunity to have a signature meal of the South. We also had Red Velvet Cake for desert.

The rally is tentatively scheduled to be held at the Bethpage Campground & Resort in Urbana, VA in 2011.

DriVer.

What's the exact date the rally will take place?

How can anyone miss a shrimp boil like that, broun paper on picnic tables lined up side by each? (end to end). We liked it then and we still like it now.

Who will catch the shrimp?

Henry.

Al, it is like I told my 'adopted' son from Minnesota. You got here as soon as you could

No he is not my son, but a young guy that worked for me for years and was able to take my job at the PD when I retired.
