Well, I've been over the IRV2 National Rally section with a fine tooth comb, and can't find 'em, so I guess I'll just ask:

Where the heck are the West Coast Events being held????

Francesca, The West Coast events are being held where ever "YOU" want to hold them.

The way it all started (1st Nat Rally) is that I invited all my friends to come to Myrtle Beach in September 2001 and they all showed up! We had a swell time and it all worked out.

If you want to make it happen bad enough; it can happen. Nobody is an expert at this as far as I can tell and you reap what you sow. Put your best foot forward and it should work.

From my point of view, we could have a National Rally East & West if it will place more members in either one of the events without robbing Peter to pay Paul. We would stagger them by 4-6 months if possible and that would work I bet. A Spring and a Fall event. This model works really well for a lot of large organizations.

What I would wish for is to get 100 iRV2 rigs in the park. That has not happened over the 11 events that have been held over the years. I know we can do it and I may yet try again in a couple of years to get that done.

I've seen single state rallies put 400 rigs in a park and FMCA rallies can see as many as a couple of thousand or more. We have 74,000 registered members so we should be able to break that 100 rig barrier at some point.

THIS thread in the Wagonmaster's Forum lists the locations/attendance for past National Rallies. So far, we've had only 1 National per year. But that can always change.

Our National Rally locations are mostly determined by the member (or members) who step up to plan one. We're always looking for new & interesting places to hold one. Where will the 2012 be?

It's lovely here in Hadlock this time of year...

If I'm it, I'd better get busy!

Hi Y'all

Well, everything's ready for the West Coast Events here in Hadlock.
I've mowed the lawn, sent the Relatives home, dug the pit privies, and made 400 pounds of potato salad.
And I'm excited to report that as a special treat, my husband has agreed not only to wear shoes, but to bathe and shave for this event!

Last minute reminder:
Be sure to bring your "Last Will And Testament/Release of Liability" forms.
Use of the conveniently located Swamp of Doom Driveway is strictly limited to those whose papers are in order.
Others should follow the signs to "Abandon Hope Avenue".

See you tomorrow bright and early!

Francesca, Your Hostess

P.S.
This time I hope everybody remembers the meat for the Pit Barbecue.
Last year some of you were wa-a-a-a-y too lackadaisical about the "scoop up all road kill" rule....

Yikes! I'd have to average 600mph to get there in time. Just a tad past my comfort zone, though I'm pretty sure the ole Dolphin is up to the task. I hear your potato salad is worth it, so I'm off!

Good Morning, Campers!
Sorry about the backup at the gate-
We'll get things moving just as soon as we're done unloading the Winning Team in the
"Most Trailers Per One Engine" competition.
Good Job, Shastacampers!

ATTENTION TRUCKCAMPERS:
You're next.
Please take a minute to review the Truckcamper Parking Protocols Tutorials, below.
Note:
Method #2 is ONLY for those of you that brought a Relative to hold the other end of the rope.

I don't even know what that is, but I'll bet the answer is "yes"-
And I own it!

Oh!
You meant Lebanon, Kansas!
Here's me at my "Exact Center of The Contiguous U.S." Campground during my Annual Migration...

I'll be a little late this year due to my Hostessing Duties here in Hadlock.
