Arrow REGRETS - On Golf Carts ...

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is with my hat in hand looking for your forgiveness over the following inaccuracy.

I regret to announce at this late date, that I made a mistake in assuming that a 50% Golf Cart discount would be available for rally attendees.

In my past experiences here at OL, I have always had the pleasure of a 50% rally discount however what I failed to recognize was the timeline.

You see, we were able to book the National Rally in September when that is actually not supported by Ocean Lakes. They did us a favor. Rally season starts in October and runs through the end of April or May. As a result, there isn't a rally discount in September because it's one of the busiest months in the campground. Last September (2013) I am told, Ocean Lakes Carts had 500 carts out on lease.

Please know that there will be no shortage of carts when you get here so you will be able to rent one. All of the rentals are recently new carts and they are indeed fun and a big help as well.

I apologize if you had already planned on getting a cart and had planned your budget for it.

Again, apologies.

About Discounts: If you are age 65 or over please ask for your senior citizen's discount of $1.00 per day when you check in at the Registration counter.

Are they going to give us any discount at all?

150+ Rigs and 300 people don't mean anything to this Campground?

We have put in time, effort and built in value into this event and Ocean Lakes has worked with us and has given us everything that we have asked for. Ocean Lakes does not book rallies in Prime Season. We were fortunately able to book this rally in September and perhaps it was due in part to the several other events that I have participated with.

I do regret that I inaccurately assumed that there would be a "Rally Season" discount on Golf Carts however we are holding our Rally in what is considered Prime Season. (Out of Rally Season)

We have developed discounts for several other venues and features that we'll be attending and enjoying. We hope that you will see the value that we have built-into the National and we hope that you might be able overlook my mistake.

The majority of our sites are within close proximity and easy walking distance to the recreation center. The only folks that may need a cart are perhaps those folks out in the 3000 section and some other folks that have mobility issues.

Regrets--

Okay Mike, the last time I made a mistake was about a hundred years, or so, ago, when I enlisted in the Air Force to fly jets. You know the kind that leave contrails up in the sky when only prop airliners were still flying around-.
It only took me about 7 years to get over that one- and to my end destination-

I know you'll recover sooner than I did-

Heck, I'll need one of the Golf carts too, for my door bolt installs- but we can handle that extra cost-
It really still is "summer" around here in coastal NC. It was 104 degrees (with humidity included) here yesterday.

We still luv ya for all the work your doing-

See ya in a week--

Cheers,

Stuff happens. Don't beat yourself up over it. You & your team have put together a fantastic venue & I'm sure in the grand scheme of things, this is just a little road bump.

See ya next Sunday!

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

So what will be the expected daily price that one will be looking at for the cart rental?

All,

The Ocean Lakes WEB site provides information on golf cart rentals along with a link to the current rental rates.

Here's the URL:
