Sounds like a winner, especialy since my shock mount tore off. My truck scale at work gives me front, back or both, not all corners.

Well you can count me in. Tell us more about your scales. One axle, one wheel? Any chance you could have it set up to weigh as you check into the rally?

You've got me Dale, would love a each wheel weigh in, local scales will only do front total and rear. No amount of discussion will change that.

Best,

1) Can we do it at check in... I think that might be a bit difficult do to the time it will take. But, I will look into it.

2) We can do it by axle or per side as there are 2 scales. One is 14" wide and the other is 11" wide. This should allow us to weigh each side. 5er's and TT's we will have to work something out.

3) The scales are used and not computerized. Here is what I know about them.
* Rugged - built to work in rough environments
* Lightweight: 40 pounds
* Each scale handles up to 20,000 lbs capacity
* Fully self-contained
* Easy-to-read Vernier scale
* Economical and trouble-free

4) Cost - Do to the fact that I am not in business the cost is free. But, donations will gladly be accepted to cover costs.

Dale - I do not expect a freebie and will certainly donate. By the looks of the scale though it seems like you should be able to booger-up some kind of portable dolly contraption that you could just place under the pin on a 5th wheel. I think there is bucks to be made there at any campground
Also I think check-in time is doable for couple of reasons: 1) The rig is loaded to the max....at any other time during the rally you would have to re-load everything (if you want an honest weight), unhook, and then set-up all over gain, 2) I can't imagine it taking but a few minutes so even if you drove in from Mongolia it would not be a major deal

I will try to get setup and then hopefully we can go from site to site and weigh before you unload. How does that sound? This will work only for those that get their after I do

Hi All,

Wow Dale this is great, & I also have no problem with making a donation to help off set your cost! Now as far as getting there after you do? When are you getting there?? Pretty sure we are checking in on Sat 7/15/06.

OEMTECH

When we were weighed in Nashville they had boards made up that were the same height as the scales that was put on the other side so that the rig would stay level. You might look in to this.

I have some boards that should work. Also, one of the scales should hold a dual and the other a single.
