How about just calling it a "Yard Sale"?

A yard or whatever you want to call it was done at the 03 National and was a hoot. It is certainly a great "meet and greet" mixer for all the attendees. I vote for Monday as well! We all have stuff in the rigs that we'd love to exchange for other neat stuff!

With this being said I would respectfully ask this year that none of my beloved flock of pink birds be put up for a $5.00 sale! Be on notice...I'm bringing my shotgun!!

Those who were at the 03 National will definitely remember!

Sandy

Don - "Yard Sale" sounds just right. If anybody has any other suggestions , concerns about the yard sale please post them ASAP. In the meantime the rest of you can start piling up your "someone elses treasures to be".

I would prefer earlier in the day. 12:30-14:30 keeps us from doing other things. It is right in the middle of the day. How about 10:00-12:00?

I like 10-12 too for the same reasons Mike said.

Plus, it'll be cooler at that time and "DriVer" can put out Workhorses 'left over' donuts and sell them for a nickel apiece.

The time of day for the yard sale will probably be difficult to meet everybody's needs. With 60+ units scheduled it would be nice to hear from more of the group and try to get a majority vote. I don't have any problem with 1000-1200 but would like to do whatever to have a bunch of happy campers. So I guess at this time until we hear from more people the 1000 - 1200 slot is in the lead. Also would like to know if everyone agrees that 2 hours is enough time.

I'll edit the schedule. We can always "Slide" the time some if needed.

WHAT?? No pink chickens????? I may just have to bring my "Level III" vest with me and do a "Midnight raid".

Previous ones have been in the 2 hour range. I think that is enough. Now,I dont see a problem with someone leaving their stuff out longer if they so chose. If they are hanging around the campground longer, it wouldnt be a problem.

Two hours is good, that's how long they were in Nashville and in Texas. And, like Mike says, if someone wants to peddle their stuff longer, no sweat. Whatever 'floats their boat'

Rain??? Now what? Anybody have any ideas on what we can do with the rummage sale if it rains? Is the pavilion available? Another day? I know we can tolerate a slight rain with our awnings but....

Ken,

The pavilion should be available at the time we're doing the 'yard sale'. Unlike the recreation hall that we're using on a selective basis, we have the use of the pavilion for the entire week.
