There's a caravan of 8 Tx Boomers headed to National - actually 7 of us will be coming in together!
We're planning to come the "southern" route through Louisiana, etc. It's a drive we hope to make in about 2 1/2 days! We'll be leaving Houston on I-10 to Baton Rouge, over toward B'ham way.
We need recommendations of RV parks along the route to stay in those two nights....any suggestions!
We learned our lesson well with the carvan to Nashville in 03! We stayed at what WE THOUGHT was a premier park (it was listed and still is in TL as 7/8.5*/6, but there are five Texas Boomers that can show you photos of the worst campground in the US! We feared for our lives!!!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Sandy

Try Knox Hill RV Park, Knoxville, AL. It is off of Exit 52 on I-20.
We stayed there twice in 2004 and found it to be a very nice park...you will need reservations to assure spaces for your caravan.
As I recall it is about 300 miles from Knoxville, TN

Cheri and I are leaving PHX on the 13th for Dallas and a family thing. We will be leaving there Sat morning the 15th for the rally. So depending on your schedule we could fall into your convoy.
