A western rally won't happen this year since the 2016 annual rally is already scheduled for September in Indiana. But check the Southwest Region forum in case someone might organize a regional rally out that way this year.

My wife and I are still working full-time so if there were to be a rally out here near Utah, we would definitely be interested in attending. There are a lot of forum members I would love to meet face to face.

Mike.

I like Vegas because it is close but very hot in summer. What about a place in Utah or Northern California, even Death Valley would be nice, but very different in early spring. Colorado has nice places too.

Western Rally - 2016 or...?

We'd attend a Western Rally for sure.
We live in So Oregon. Lots of really nice RV parks in OR, WA and CA.

Seven Feathers Casino RV Resort in Canyonville OR is top notch, as is Premier RV Resort in Salem OR, Eugene OR, and Redding CA (although Redding is very hot in the summer/early fall months).

Pechanga RV Resort and Casino in Temecula CA is very nice and so is the Rancheria RV Resort and Casino in Jackson CA (Gold Country).

All these have 50 and 30 amp and can accommodate big rigs as well.

Regards

Western Rally - 2016 or...?

Just to add a few more Western state Rally possibilities:
Montana and Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado and Utah would also be great choices.

There was a fantastic irv2 national rally a few years back in Williams, AZ. Train picked us up at the campground for trip to the Canyon. Great evening entertainment and super meals prepared by campground. Only 1 rig west of Texas showed up. Glad to see there some interest now in a rally out west.

That's been the real issue & was a big disappointment after we had such an outcry from members to quit having rallies in the east all the time. Jim (RIP) & his team worked hard for that rally & the 20 rigs of members who were there had great fun.

Lots of members say they'll show, but when it comes time for a commitment/putting money down, all of a sudden no one's around.

Hopefully, it'll work out differently next time. I'd like to see us have a rally farther west.

been by there

I have been by this place on my bike when I went to Sturgis. I think it would make a great place for a rally.

We went there intending to spend three days and ended up spending a little more than a week.

They have an evening ceremony at Mount Rushmore honoring veterans, very moving.

By strange coincidence our coach and towed are in their photos. (It's the only one red/maroon with a maroon tow beside front door)

We were there during bike week (Sturgis) and it was exciting!
