We would love to have one out there if possible. How West in your opinion do we need to go. We had 1 rally in Williams, AZ, in 2010.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Seems like there was a clamor to have a rally out west but the one in Williams, AZ in 2010 only drew 24 rigs and a majority of the attendees were from TX and further east.

Lori- What would be really helpful is how far East would California members be willing to travel? Las Vegas maybe?

There are a lot of nice Resorts in CA, Hemet, Palm Desert, Bakersfield, Buellton and the list goes on and on ...

2010 I was not available to attend the rally at that time, but it would be nice
if there was west coast events more then once every 5 years. Sure there are great possibilities in California but Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Nevada are all great choices . Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, are also good choices the right time of the year. even a mini rally lets just get together and not always
in Pen-Sul-Tucky....

Easties also like left coast

Living in the south all of my life I love visiting the desert and canyon lands. Green is pretty but after a while mowing grass and killing weeds and raking leaves gets very old. Also the coast of NC has humidity and lots and lots of bugs, just like Florida. THEREFORE I vote for a western rally. Believe it or not the Williams AZ rally was cold and rainy. But the day at the Grand Canyon was lovely. The Perrin TX rally was 2 degrees hotter than hell, but the people were great. The Boomers know how to have fun.

The Nashville rally is my chance to get a little west. We will tour lower Colorado and Northern New Mexico then hit I-40 and straight to Nashville. Once I get on I-40 east I do not have to look at a road map again.

Any of these west coast states would be great. We had 30 plus rigs at the Quartzsite Monaco IRV2 rally last winter so I would think an overall IRV2 rally out west would be pretty successful. We would try to attend any IRV2 rally anywhere within a thousand miles of Vegas.

I am sure people would come to California, There are some really great choices, but I live in California and sure i have not see everything, or been everywhere, but I wold enjoy having a tally in Oregon, or Idaho, or some where not sweltering HOT with opportunities to sight see and meet other R V folk.

So let's Do it......

Well, how about this place on Park Reviews.com;

Heartland RV Park
24743 Hwy 79
Hermosa, SD 57744

We went there intending to spend three days and ended up spending a little more than a week.

They have an evening ceremony at Mount Rushmore honoring veterans, very moving.

By strange coincidence our coach and towed are in their photos. (It's the only one red/maroon with a maroon tow beside front door)

We were there during bike week (Sturgis) and it was exciting!

Thank you for the feedback.

Are there any more "Western" area members that would like to see the International Rally move to the West?

If it were within 200-300 miles from Los Angeles, I'd go.
