We would love to go to a west coast rally and someday, if there is one on the west coast, CA,OR or WA, we will be there!
We have lived most of our lives on the west coast, used to drive extensively over 2/3 of this country, and never considered NV as part of the west coast.
Have fun though and share pictures

I thought Nevada was a western state?
There was a 99 reply/22,000+ views thread from 3 years ago asking when we were going to have a rally in the western states. Nevada was mentioned quite a number of times.....Las Vegas area in particular. The rally team made that happen. Now's the time to support one of the locations that was asked for before registration closes this week.

We think of Nevada as the South West, same as New Mexico and Arizona.
The US Breaks up for us as:
Pacific Northwest = Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana
West Coast = Washington, Oregon, California (Sometimes Pacific Northwest included)
South West = Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona
Central = Wyoming, Colorado
Texas
Mid-West = Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma, Ohio, Indiana, Kansas, Illinois, Nebraska
Northern US = N/S Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan
The South = Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginiaa, Virginia, North and South Carolina
The East Coast = Pennsylvania, D.C, Rhode Island, New York, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine
New England = Rhode Island, Delaware, Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine

The western states are divided this way, I agree that you have the west coast states , but they are a sub division only.
The rally is being held in a western state as requested as noted in Nlovinit's statement.

In California
For those of us that live on the West Coast There is a Difference between the “West Coast” and the “Western States”. The “West Coast” only includes states that actually have a Pacific Coast. Hence some of this confusion.

Yes Pink 303,
I am a native Washingtonian, grew up in Gig Harbor and only moved from the state in 14. So I am aware of the multiple subdivisions of the western states. But Nevada is considered a western state and it appears on a map to be able to be divided in part central and some southern of the area. The main thing is the rally site was chosen to be close to all western states based on information obtained, thus making it accessable to folks living in Western States.
Looking forward to meeting you in person in September.

That places the state of Nevada (Las Vegas) right smack dab in the middle of rally central.

I would have bet a bunch that this rally would have brought in a lot of folks since there was a lot of demand for a West based rally. Like they say, you can bring the water to a horse but they might not be in the pasture.
Regardless, the folks that have already registered for the International Rally are in for a great time. The rally team that is working this event will make sure of it.
Let's get those reservations IN folks … " Last Call" is coming up on Thursday.

So...the reservations lines are closed(?)
I see that we are at 31 rigs paid and 2 others

First rally of any kind for me.
And hoping for some good weather...The Old Farmer's Almanac says it looks good:

Looking forward to meeting everyone.
