Why You Should Attend The Rally

Hello all
I would like to tell you why you should attend the rally this year. You may think it's for the seminars, the meals or the games. Well to me it's the FRIENDS you make. My wife and I attended our first IRV2 rally on 2012 in Tennessee, and made some friends there. There is a couple however that I truly feel are more than just friends. We made arrangements to go on a caravan together last summer but their RV died and their plans were ruined. We didn't get to see them until last week. We met in Watkins Glenn, NY and they took us to some beautiful sites. We left there and went to their home. They had 50amp service installed in their driveway, so power was no problem. Their property was absolutely beautiful. They took us to Niagara Falls, out to dinner and feed us breakfast and a dinner at home. Their hospitality was beyond compare. They treated us like family. They are God loving and will do anything for their fellow man. We would have never met them if it had not been for the IRV2 rally. They will be at the rally this year, actually helping with some of the events. So of you attend, please give a big warm hello to Tom and Debi Scott. They E more than friends. We love these guys. So this of you who haven't registered yet, do so and come meet some of the greatest people in the world.

It really is all about the friendships!

We are going to see a number of folks attend this rally that attended the 1st iRV2.com national Rally which was held in 2001. Coincidentally the rally was held at the Ocean Lakes Campground but boy has it changed in the past 13 years.

This year our Entertainment Committee (1st time) has been busy developing things for the members to do and see. The opportunities to do any of a dozen things is on the horizon for those that choose to attend. We expect to have the Rally Itinerary published on or about July 1st, so check the On-Line Program for the latest dates, times and events.

The Hollywood Wax Museum

== Optional Event ==
As an extra added feature, (not a component of the rally fees) the Entertainment Committee has negotiated a "Rally Group Rate" for this "Newest" Myrtle Beach attraction, the Hollywood Wax Museum. A sign-up sheet will be available when registering if you would like to go. We would like to offer this opportunity for the group on Friday morning. It is essential that we show up as a group of 50 so the rate schedule can be applied. We will try to be at the museum by 10:00am. After your visit, you may choose to do lunch at Broadway at the Beach, essentially across the street (Hwy 17) and located not too far from the Museum. In order to obtain the group discount, Rally attendees will be required to show their Rally ID which was issued to you during registration. No money will be collected ahead of time however we would ask that you sign up during registration so we'll know if we can qualify for the group discount. If you are 65 or older you get a discount. When we show up as a group we get the group rate on top of that. It is expected that the rate will be reduced to about $8 and change (plus tax) if I'm not mistaken.

Once you have finished lunch, if you plan on heading back to the campground, you and every member of your family/group is eligible to paly 1 round of Mini-Golf. The Mini-Gold is located behind the Arcade Building. Mini-Golf will run from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Relax, enjoy your game and have a great time!

Ocean Lakes Mini-Golf

Dinner is on your own!

Beginning at 7:00pm make tracks over to Sandy's-Meet and Eat for an evening of fun, friendship, campfire and Karaoke. Bring your ice cream ticket with you as this will be the last opportunity to turn in or use your ice cream ticket. To the left is a deck with tables, a fire pit and stage called "Sandy's Center Stage". We will have this area for our exclusive use until 10:00pm. Some of you may want to bring your own chairs!

Thumbs up Rallies & Friendships

Hi All
I agree 1000000000000000000000000000000000000% with rvbunz, it is about the friendships you build! Some were started at my first local iRV2 Rally in 2000 and others that have started from my first iRV2 National in 2001! Both of which were put together by Drive or Fiver back then & Colleen! I have also meet lot's of other great folks and built friendships over the years! The difference between camping buddies & friendships are this. I have been at a lot of these folks homes, and they to mine! I have been to some of there kids Weddings, and two of them were with me when I received the text that my Daughter just eloped! Also sometimes and only by phone we were there for each other for the lose of a loved one! I am also very happy to say that almost 15 years later, that even a few of us own lots in the same park in FL. So I consider myself blessed in life due to the RV Lifestyle and iRV2! Thanks Bill for starting it, and Andy & all the folks that keep it going!
God Bless America and God Bless iRV2 !! See ya in Sept. !!

Look at his avatar. He's putting a new engine in one that was fire damaged.

Doesn't OL have rentals?

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Lori, Ocean Lakes has multi-room beach front houses for rent by the week.

I wish we could go. It sounds like so much fun and going to NC is on the top of my to do list. I still have 2.5 years till I retire. Seems like a prison sentence.

I retired a year early; my boss was not happy but I am

it was only a hundred more in my retirement pay so I just decided it was not worth serving another year of the prison sentence; I was so tired of

so I gave them a two week notice and signed the papers; and only did 29 of my 30 year sentence

Very well said Bob. Our first IRV2 rally was 2012 also and that's where we met Tom & Debi as well as yourself and Denise. The hospitality they afforded you does not surprise me. They impressed us as those kind of folks too. Debbie and I look forward to seeing you all again in a couple weeks.
