Jerry,

My BMW motorcycle fell off the centerstand onto its right side in April, so I filed a claim with Progressive to get it repaired. The adjuster called back in a couple of days advising me that they would not cover it under the comprehensive portion of the policy, but instead would consider it a chargeable collision claim. I asked him how they came up with that - he said, "Well, the bike collided with the ground."

I told him to forget it, cancel the claim and I paid to have the body and paint work done out of my own pocket.

Rusty

Being an ole paint and body shop owner, we learned quickly how Progressive or as we referred to them- Regressive works. Their adjusters are instructed to write all original estimates for approximately 50% of the actual cost of repair. Their theory is many repairs will never be made so the insured will never know how much they were shorted. Of course thats after they maneuver every way possible to deny the claim.

Sorry Jerry and Rusty for your problems dealing with Regressive.

Right where the "m" is for dot com is where I was parked in 06. Had a blast riding the train. Nik and I were sad we could not attend this year.

Update on the Arizona Tornadoes

In response to e mails I have received about the tornadoes up north in Belmont,
that is East of Williams right where Camping World is located. The RV sales lot they show and talk about was Camping World. I talked to Tamera and she said they got wind and a lot of rain but everything is OK and she thanks us for the concerns.
