Jim the first day is a secret, if everyone knew what happend they would all want to come in early.
They are all tired, the town of Williams had a Ham Festival and the park offered a great dinner for a donation to raise funds and the grub was great. No pictures of today the real fun will start tomorrow.

We arrived a little after 3 Saturday, the "unofficial dinner" was very good and it was nice seeing some of the group early. The live entertainement before the dinner was "interesting",but he did try hard though!

I left a message with the campground I hope Jim got it.

We do not know when or if we will get to the rally. Our transmission died. We are stranded in Cortez, CO, Mesa Verde National Park. Thank goodness we were right in front of the campsite. We got the 5vr off and set up. Got a tow truck into Cortez to the Ford dealer and rented a car.

The transmission needs an intensive repair thus our arrival depends upon parts delivery and installation time.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about the trouble Bill & Nancy :( Hope you get it fixed fast and are able to make it.

We arrived right after lunch yesterday and are all set up and cozy. We didn't know about the "early arrival" dinner last night, damn it. We always miss the good stuff! LOL

We are ready for a great feast tonight though!

Day 1 2010 Rally

Well the rally has officially started. we had our welcome dinner and first get together, The weather looked scary just before we started at around 430 there was even hail with the rain. It rained for about 15 min. the temp went from 88 down to 72 right now at 930 its 66. I am sure the Ac will be turned off, and the windows will be opened tonight. Tomorrow is a free day everyone going there own way with all the sights to see there was no way I could plan for all the different tastes. I know we have folks going to Flagstaff, and Sedona even a few going down the old rout 66 from Saligman through Oatman on their way to drop a few coins into the machines in Laughlin. So the fun has started and the Margaritas are f'lowing. So from Williams,AZ to all those that couldn't we are sorry.

Bill and Nancy -

I began getting really worried around dinner time when I saw ya'll had not arrived. I'm glad to see your post and at least we know that you are safe. Hope the transmission can get fixed soon, but that it had to happen. You are missed by this ole Texas gal.

If someone had told me that I'd be FREEZING to death this morning - in Arizona - in July - I would have called them NUTS!

Sandy

Ditto what Ron said - What a beautiful place !

The country music, margarita, wonderful Arizona sunset, and campfar last night were as good as it gets !

Texas Holdem Tourney underway this morning - more later.

Bill & Nancy we sure missed your money in the pot ! Seriously sorry to hear of your misfortune and hope you are underway soon, like Sandy said several of us were really worried about you last evening.
