Charles and Wanda -

Glad to hear that ya'll finally made it back home...I nearly died w/ the humidity! Guess I fell in love with the cool temps in Williams!

Please keep in touch - we're in the same South Central Section - on the boards so you can keep apprised of what the Texas Boomers are doing!

I'd love to add more to our discussion about hosting something "near the border" so both states could attend and see if we can get something started in Louisiana!

Sandy

PS: If ever you are in/around Houston area, be sure to let us know! We'd love to meet ya'll for supper or if you need an overnight stay on a trip - we've got plenty of room!

We left Utah this morning headed for Yellowstone. While in Salt Lake the kids enjoy a visit to Antelope Island State Park on the Great Salt Lake (awesome day) and a day at the Lagoon Theme & Water Park. (Whew they wore me out) Arrived at Gardiner MT about 4PM (North Side of Yellowstone)

Hey Madame Boomer (Sandy):

Yes, let's stay in touch as we are interested in what the Texas Boomers are up to. Will email you with our information so please return the favor, and then we can continue our discussions about a good location for Texas and Louisiana. We will start checking the internet in an attempt to find out what groups are located in Louisiana and where they are located. If necessary we'll just start fresh. Also, we will let you guys know when we are in and around the Houston area, cocktails and supper would be fun. Keep us posted on Rusty's situation if you will.

Best regards and stay in touch.

I just wanted to check in to thank everyone who was at Williams for their thoughts, concerns, prayers and help during my "episode" at the iRV2 National Rally. It was a heck of a week for me - drive 1250 miles to spend the week lying down looking at the inside of the RV!! I still have some residual weakness in my left leg, but that's about it. Otherwise, I feel fine (at least as fine as possible for someone of my advanced age.)

A special thanks to Gregg and Jodi for getting us back to Houston safe and sound. Words will never be enough to express my appreciation and gratitude.

Of course, Sandy's now saying that the whole thing was nothing but an act on my part to justify buying a new truck with an automatic transmission so that she'll be able to tow the rig should this ever happen again.....

Rusty

Of my gosh...that thought never crossed my mine.

Glad to hear you're doing much better especially for a man of such advanced age.

Do you get to pick the color

No, as the Brits say, I just get to specify the oily bits.

Too bad y'all weren't there - Roxie could have driven us home!

Now we're trying to figure out which 6-Speed automatic transmission you're going to want to get!

RustyJC:

Glad that you are out and about. Advanced has many definitions and what ever works, works! Ha! Go get you one of those "bad-boys" that will pull the paint off of your RV and let Sandy pick the color. Keep us posted and post pics.
