I pray all those traveling to Williams will have a safe trip and enjoy the fellowship and good times that Jim has worked so hard on providing.

BTW, don't fall in the ditch as its much deeper than it looks.

Made it on the first leg of the trip just fine! I-35 in Ft Worth was (can't imagine why RustyJC wouldn't let me drive my eyes were closed through much of it). FW drivers are more nuts that Houston drivers!

Sandy - If you think Ft Worth drivers are bad - you have not driven thru Dallas lately ;-)

We leave at Noon tomorrow for Amarillo and will see you Saturday evening in Williams.

But they probably think we are a bit strange too...

Hey Ken - we don't think you are a bit strange, but you may be 'barking mad' ;--)

So are you bringing the Twinkie Grande or Twinkie the First?

Just in case anyone out there really cares we made it on in to Lubbock tonight. Came up the back roads outta Killeen and avoided DFW like the plague. Ran into some clouds and the temp actually dropped to 83 for much of the afternoon. Got delayed awhile around Post, Texas where a bad wreck occurred and they were doing a helicopter evacuation.

Plan to pull out early morn and hope to catch up with the convoy in Albuquerque early evening tomorrow.

Ken & Susan - sorry ya'll decided not to make the party - We're gonna miss you and I knew you weren't coming when kablewizard couldn't promise you a shafe tree.

Glad ya'll made it - your route was much cooler than ours! I think it did drop...about 10 degrees, but still was around 97 when we arrived here in Quanah.

See ya'll tomrrow night in Albuquerque! Remember it's Palisades NOT Paradise!

It is very pleasant here in fact Pat and I sat outside and had a cool one after we got set up. Pat just saw on the news ( we have 4 TV stations also ) that the people involved in the wreck this afternoon were OK no serious injury to either of them. Driver went to sleep hit the medium and rolled the car several times.

We can't wait until we leave in the morning, it was 116 here today and only will be 113 tomorrow. Williams will be high 80s dropping to low 80s by Wed.

Ya'll drive safe and watch out for all those nuts that think we can stop these rigs in less space then they can.

We are in Camp Verde, AZ at Distant Drums RV Resort. We have dinner/musical reservations tonight. We'll get our act together in the morning and head up to Williams. See everyone then.
