1991 Safari

Hi there , another new guy, just found your forum and it looks real good. Lots of info. Will use the search and look for answers.
On our third camper which we just purchased, new to us a class A Diesel pusher.
Only test driven so far and it goes to the shop pretty soon to have some brake work done.
It is a 1991 Safari Ivory on an oshkosh chassis according to the vin number, Cat 300 diesel, allison transmission 4 speed.About 88k miles
Seems a little underpowered and rides like any other vehicle I have ever owned that feels kinda worn out spring wise on the front end. Has new shocks but that of course may not really help the ride, maybe air shocks needed? Not sure.
Anybody else have one of these old beasts out there?
Ideas maybe for the softer ride? Will have them scope the engine while there at shop and see what up. Really do not want to chip it but may have to do something, will see what they suggest.
Anyhow Howdy
Richard
