1997 Beaver Monterey with 3126A Cat Engine

I parked the above vehicle about 3 weeks ago and it was running fine (after a 500 mile trip). 10 days ago I started it and again it was running well. I let it run for about 15 minutes. Yesterday, I tried to start it again - it would turn over and the engine glow plug light was on as usual and then went off as it is supposed to ( to the best of my knowledge) but the engine would not fire or start . I did not check the oil level as vehicle is at a storage location. Does engine have a protection switch which would not allow the engine to start if oil level is low? Engine has been serviced at a caterpiller distributor until recently. I changed to another reputable repair shop as I found that labour rate of $185.00 plus 12% tax rather high. I purchased the motorhome with 36,000 miles on it and have added another 50,000 miles in the 9 years that I've owned it. During my ownership it has never been abused or let overheat but I have had the following problems. 1) replaced the injector wiring harness , 2) replaced one injector, 3) replaced one crossover injector tube as it fractured. Distributor said this was a design fault but mine had been replaced under warrenty with correcting ones at 236 miles. 4) replaced fuel non return valve. Am I doing something wrong ? Do you have any suggestions as to the cause of non starting?
Sorry to be so long winded and look forward to hearing from you.
I am a new member and have found the forums to be very interesting.
