Thanks for all the warm welcomes and great info!! After much searching on-line and off we finally decided on a Ford F250 Super Duty 6.7 diesel. So far I love the truck but the true test will come at the end of January when we start our trip down south. Happy trails to all this winter.

Nice choice 2Bears,

We have several F-350 6.7L at work. The trucks in our yard are labeled to handle 8000 lbs. load in the dump bed; and, 20,000 lb. trailers is the heaviest trailers we hook up to to the F-350's. The trucks get up to traffic speed at a reasonable time, stops the load great, and I love the performance of the automatic transmission shifting (up & down) while in Tow/Haul mode. Truck doesn't feel like it gets pushed around by the loads.

I'm sure you'll like the engine/transmission performance from your F-250.
