1st Time Owner - Kansas
Hello All,
Figured it was time to get a camper and start seeing this great country with the wife and kids. Never having owned a camper before we searched and decided to start smaller. We found a 1994 Shadow Cruiser 27ft fifth wheel in good shape and fair price. Everyone is excited to go RV'ing!
Waiting for my hitch and brake controller to show up, so I'm starting to become familiar with the unit and preparing for a short first trip to a local lake or something.
I'll be searching this site for model specific information on A/C, Heat, water, etc. I have pretty good records on maintenance from the previous owner but not much on how all the systems work, where components are, and servicing.
Looking forward to learning and sharing on the forums here!
Thanks,
Pete

Hi Pete! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join the gang!
We pulled a 5er for 12 years before getting the MH. I want to make one suggestion to you. Check out the 5th wheel latch kit below. It's the best insurance you will ever buy! There are lots of folks out there who wish they had bought this inexpensive accessory!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome, Pete!
Welcome to the irv2 gang, Pete! Congrats on your new-to-you RV wheels!
You may have already found this information, but just in case not...check out these two links. The first link should show that Cruiser RV uses basically the same manual for all their trailers. The second links to the manual. Of course you'll still need to do what you said and find the manuals for specific equipment in your trailer, but the owner manual offers some good overview information.

Regardless whether the owner manual is useful, I'm sure folks on these forum pages will be very helpful. Good luck and safe travels to you and family.
