We're on our second DSDP. Newmar was the only manufacturer that would customize the rig to my wifes satisfaction. Some $35,000 in changes/additions (in 2002 $$). We got about 27% off list. The 2012 DSDPs look nice but we like ours. Guess we'll keep it for a while!

Congrats, we were in your shoes ONE year ago. After 66 nights of camping in our new baystar last summer I have nothing bad to say about it. What a nice rig. For us the 30 foot length has been just perfect. Handles well and love the open floor plan with so many nice windows to see the great outdoors.
You're gonna LOVE it. Now we just need to survive the rest of the winter here in MN and we'll be back out in the campgrounds soaking up the sun
Have fun, travel safe!
