A newbie

Hi everyone
New to the world of forums. My husband and I are looking forward to doing more traveling. We have a pull behind trailer and looking to buy a 5th wheel so I'm trying to learn as we go. There are soooo many out there with soooo many features. Any advice would be very helpfull. We don't need fancy but we would like well built. I think somehwere around a 30 footer. Any manufactures that you would suggest? Any tips of what to look for in a 5th wheel. Looking forward to your wisdom. If I don't reply that means I haven't learned how yet. Thanks! Eleanor

Welcome!

One of the things we look for is the placement of the main TV. I know people will say that camping shouldn't revolve around watching TV but we do and not being comfortable when watching it is an issue for us.

I've never owned a trailer so I would think that having things accessible when on the road during rest stops when the slides are in would be a priority.

Things like a residential refrigerator, wash and dryer, 1-1/2 baths and an outdoor TV are luxuries you can live without but are nice to have.

Eleanor, glad to have you here with us. If you are not in a great hurry look around and try to find an RV show that you can go to. The big shows (Hershey, Tampa etc.) will have more RVs then you can look at in a day. It will have most manufacturers there, and you will be able to compare side by side and see what fits your needs. Good luck with your search!
