New to RVing, New to Forum from VA. Me and wife luv road trips have a 3 1/2 yr old son hates to sit in the car for more than an hr. So we could not travel much. Near my a landscaping business owner whose husband passed away recently put 2006 Fleetwood Class C 31' 1 slide out for sale. I saw few months ago, looked nice but didnot cross my mind but I always told my wife it would be nice to have RV for travelling with the kid. The RV was not there anymore and when the fall season hit the RV again was on the sale in their business. One of my colleague was retiring and I took pictures and showed him. He didnot want to spent that much money. When I was driving by to home, the lady dropped 10k in the price from original quote. From my research I found that was very very good deal as the RV only had 8500 miles and was immaculate and looked almost showroom everything working order.

Pestered my wife and signed up the deal. Knew nothing research and made a successful trip to Myrtle beach, SC Ocean lakes and enjoyed very much.

Oh one more thing, 3yr old kid needs car seat and he wants to be close us. So made my own metal frame and inserted wood as a platfrom with D rings. Made a long box and dropped into one step behind driver and passenger seat and hankered the metal frame and every fit very good and finished very good after I carpeted it like coach.

Thatz my long and short story.

I will ocasically trouble you all with my questions. Thanks everyone

We bought our first MH (a class C like yours) when my now 16-year-old was about 3. Many, many great memories you will have.
