Alpine purchased, we're sort of new

Yes, we HAVE purchased an Alpine Motor Coach by Western RV and we are new to RVing, although we've just completed a 7000 mile journey through the midwest states on to Michigan and finally New York's little town of Hyde Park, to visit our grandson who is studying at the Culinary Institute of the Arts. (Yum, yum!) To say we "jumped" into RVing "with both feet" I think is not overstated. To add that our trip was "challenging" WOULD be understated.
We began without a lot of "coaching" from the family member from whom we purchased. The direction we got from him was (paraphrasing), "Hey, I didn't get any help when I bought, why should you?" Yes, he was a brother-in-law too, can you believe.
On the remote highways of Pennsylvania, our left windshield suddenly began leaving its proper place on the front of "the bus"(as we began to call her). Imagine travelling at 65-70 mph and being shocked at the sound of high velocity air pouring through on the driver-side of the windshield. My first thought was "it must be a bearing". Thank God I was to find THAT not to be the case.
Well, I could go on and on.....onward and forward, yes?
