And the winner is... Winnebago Tour
After all the great advice here on the forum my wife and I have zeroed in on the DP we want to own - the Winnebago Tour. Now that we have worked down to the make and model, let the negotiations begin. We will be purchasing a new 2015/16 model. Both of us are really excited to turn this page in our lives. We love to travel and will be mixing our time up between the motorhome and VRBO rentals when traveling outside the US. Yes we have decided to sell the stick home and just take a year or more for full time travel. Let the fun begin.

An absolutely great choice! And welcome [almost] to the Winnebago family! \ken

Gordon,
thanks for the tip on Lichtsinn. I'll consider making the drive up there from Fort Worth.

There were a number of benefits for us.
1) They were easy to deal with and we completed the deal on the telephone.
2) They are close to the factory and we drove it from new (no delivery driver worries).
3) The service we have received is as good or better than we expected. (The tech identified problems we were not aware of)
They have a toll free number so it does not cost anything to start a dialogue.
