Another new in New York

Hello all! We are Mark & Nancy from Cicero, NY. Just traded our 04 Winnebago 31C Minnie in for an 04 Vectra. Bought the Minnie new but something like the Vectra was not in the cards right now for us new so a (hopefully) gently used one was it. We don't pick it up until next Saturday and can't wait. Unfortunately we still have that darn work thing for a couple of years so it will get winterized soon until our yearly escape to Florida in March. The four plus months till then will pass slowly

So with a new found excitement in RVing I was searching for I don't even remember what and found this site. Very nice, looks like some good folks here.

Hi HD4Mark and welcome to IRV2. My wife and I were born and raised in ROme, NY, but we have been Floridians for 32 years now. Still have some family in central NY, though.

Welcome, Mark and Nancy. We are neighbors from Chittenango and will be headed for Florida in about 2 weeks. Feel free to jump in the NoreEaster threads toward the bottom of the page and join in the rallies and get togethers we have through out the warmer part of the year.

Rome is still there Gary, a group of us spent a long weekend in the Villages at Turning Stone a few weeks ago. I’m sure, as long as you have been around, that you known several of us spend the Winter in the Ocala area too, perhaps you will join us at Cody’s Road House, The Stump Knockers or the diner at the C/G in Silver Springs this winter.

Welcome Mark. We're retired and live in Hannibal. We go to Fla from Jan to April. When we leave Fla we stop at Myrtle Beach on the way home for a week. We spend the winter months in Kissimmee at Sherwood Forest RV resort. We have a 30 ft TT that we leave stored in Fla. The rest of the year when weather permits we have a 21 ft B+ MH for local use.

Thanks fellow central NYers (and past CNYers) Beautiful here in the summer but it is cold, damp and windy today. A preview of bad things to come. Patiently waiting about two years to retire, we hope.

We did a whirlwind tour of Florida in 2005 with the new then class C. Ended up in the Keys and now that is our destination. Key West is a little too much so we settled in at Knight's Key in Marathon. Warm and sunny almost every day there. This year will be the first with the big rig so we will have the freshman nerves again.

Lots of reading and questions about towing and who knows what to post.

Glad to have y'all on iRV2 and hope you enjoy the new Winnebago. Unfortunately, a bunch of still have to deal with the 4-letter word...W-O-R-K. I think we need to add that word to our BAD WORD list.

Welcome mark and nancy. I am retired but my wife still has to do that four letter work "work". Hoping next year is the magic time when she can retire. We visit friends often in walden, n.y. And our daughter in florida for christmas.

We used to have a place in Marathon, but sold it 10 years ago when the Keys went modern and lost it's unique quirky flavor. Still have two of our closest friends in Marathon and visit them from time to time or they come up to see me in Ocala.
