Stopping in to say hello. I've been on a few other RV forums for years and don't know how I missed this great site.

Like many, my wife and I both started camping when we were kids. Together, it was one of our first dates some 35 years ago with friends. We are on our 4th RV (my 5th).

My first RV I bought brand new in 1975. It was a Datsun long bed pickup with a Six Pack slide in camper. Loved that little rig even though it could hardly get out of it's own way.

Our first RV together was a Comfort Light TT we pulled with a Jeep Cherokee. We moved from that to a Class C. I think it was a Tioga and it was on a Chevy chassis with a 350. A true gas hog.

We took a few years off to play with some other toys; motorcycles and race cars. Then about 4 years ago we bought our first, albeit short lived, 5th wheel. It was an older maybe 21 foot with 1 LR slide. We redid most of the interior and took it on bunch of trips but we soon learned even at it's small stature it was too much weight for our Chevy 1/2 ton. So, we bought a 3/4 ton diesel and then figured, hey, we have all this truck, let's get more camper

3 years ago we bought our current 5th wheel brand new. We've put a whole lot of miles on it already and have made many, many modifications or upgrades to it and our TV.

We both retired in June of 2012 but I went back to work in January 2013 to help a friend. I am re-retiring at the end of May and we will begin much longer travels. in the late summer we will heads out on our cross country trip hitting all 4 corners and much in the middle. We expect to be gone 3 1/2 to 4 months. We will travel with our close friends who have a similar setup.

Anyway, I am going to post some pictures in this thread just for fun and I hope to find some of my previous rigs but I'll start here:

This was delivery day (oh, that was our old Terry sitting to the left). Our rig is a 2011 Cougar High Country. She's 34 foot with 2 slides:

Thanks everyone for your warm welcomes! I'm already having a great time here. I spent a day or 2 going through the Vintage RV forum and the Class A forum and this New Member Forum. I'm certain to read a lot and participate in some discussions too.

I intended to add some pictures of our previous RVs. This was our 1st 5th wheel.

Behind our 1/2 ton:

Lifted so it would fit behind our new 3/4 ton:

We redid the inside with new carpet and vinyl. It was really quite nice inside:

Finally, camping at Convict Lake on the Eastern slopes of the Sierra's:

Preparing for a delicious trout fish fry :
