Hello from Plantation, FL.
I never had a RV, or even rode in one (planning on renting one soon) but I think this might be my solution to getting away on the weekends. I am looking for a "hotel on wheels" to escape on the weekends. My wife and I have 4 toy chihuahuas and getting a hotel room is a deal breaker. Having our own bed and bathroom and not having to worry about the dogs would be ideal. I really don't know anything except what I have read on this site and the internet, and the salespeople that I have talked to seem to have a serious lack of knowledge of the product they are selling. We have decided the floorpan on the Entegra Esteem 30X fits us the best. I which I could get that floorpan in a 25 foot version but I have not found it yet. I think the Dynamax 31DS comes close, and I don't know which RV is the better built coach. Can you help me decide which is the better coach as both floorplans work?

Thankful for your advice/opinions.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of good folks and good info here.

For almost 18 months we had a Dynamax Isata3 (24 foot full wall slide out) and used it for 3 trips of 4 months or so and LOVED it. Our furry child loved it as well. We recently stepped up to a 39ft pusher for the extra room on long trips.

You are correct in that the floorplan is most important. Good luck on the search and welcome to a great new lifestyle. Enjoy the adventure.

Made me laugh. You are sooooo correct. I always ask the sales person what kind of RV they own and where do they go.

I have talked to two sales people who owned an RV in the past 20 years.

Welcome! You already know more than a salesperson on those two coaches. Depend only on your own homework and research. I vote for the Dynamax. Class C is new to Entegra line and I generally avoid first-year production models. Wishing you success in your search.

Update

My wife and I drove over to Tampa with the intention of going to the RV show on Friday to see the Dynamax Isata 4 25FW (27ft. long). As I passed the LazyDays dealership I thought I would stop to see if they were taking any Isata 4’s to the show. This was a very different experience than when I visited North Trails in Fort Myers. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
They called a sales guy, and and we talked for a long time regarding what I was looking for. Really nice, knowledgeable and not at all pushy. He showed me the elusive Isata 4, and I really was not impressed. After all the video’s I had watched, (they are bigger in the videos) I was disappointed and my wife did not like it either. Then the guy showed us a Class A Winnebago Vista29VE (gas, 30ft. long). Both my wife and I felt this was really what we had been looking for. I had never considered a Class A because of price and maneuverability. When I found out my HOA would not allow a RV in our community, and I would have to use storage, then I thought about the possibility of a longer length.
My question to you is, will I have problems traveling in the Vista (30ft)vs the Isata 4 (27ft)? I hear of so many people downsizing, am I making a mistake considering this larger coach? It looks huge from the driver’s seat.

Was that a used 29VE? We just traded in a 2017 29VE at lazydays. I wonder if you were looking at our old coach.

Buying a class A

Make sure you take any RV you are considering for a test drive. Does the cab noise interfere with conversation? How does it feel when you drive it?

No, it was a new 2019. How did you like the Vista? How was your experience with lazy days? They seem like really good people, but that was only my first time there
