Greetings from Nawth AlaBamma. Just found this site and am happy I did. I like the tone and the range of topics. Been RV'ing for four years. Started with an old Barth and went to a late 90's diesel a couple of years later. Hope to retire from NASA in another year and then spend more time on the road.

Our excursions have been mainly to state parks in FL, TX, GA and of course AL. We are owned by a 12 year old Golden Retriever and a three year old Scottish Terrier and they let us occupy their RV when they travel. I enjoy riding the curves on a sport bike and the wife enjoys anything that takes her away on an RV trip.

Once again, a hearty than you to the moderators and administrators of this site. Great setup!

I found the Monaco forum right off, thanks. I did some restoration on my 1984 Barth and really enjoyed making the old girl purrr. The Monaco is more a labor of keeping the multiple systems operational. I find a new "What'iz'zat" almost weekly.

Kinda cool in N AL this morning with liquid sunshine in the forecast. The Scottie (#4 for us) is ready for a motorhome trip but he decided to let me go to work when I explained the work-for-Kibbles concept for the thousandth time. :-)

Thanks for the personal welcome.

Hi Ron -

Another welcome here (I've been following you around this morning). Check over in Monaco for some info.

You mean these things AREN'T supposed to be a life-project?? Gee, I sure got that one wrong! Is there a phrase for rv's like the ones for boats:
1) "A boat is a hole in the water you pour money into"
and
2) "The 2 happiest days in a boat-owners' life is the one when you buy the boat and the one when you sell it"
