Another Newbie checking in.

Howdy all,

I am new in these parts but not new to RV's. When my kids were........well kids we used to hook up and go almost every weekend from mid April to late October. Up here in the frozen wasteland called Minnesota that was about all the camping I could squeeze in. My wife and I had the notion to hit the roads again and bought a 1998 24 foot Four Winds 5er. This is the first 5er that I have owned so there is a slight learning curve. I got a great deal on it but there is some water damage that I have to fix, so I will be posting some questions as I try to fix her up. I have already ordered the seals for the slide out. Now I just have to figure out how to adjust the slider to be square in the opening again. Eventually I want to redo the the whole inside, once I get the water damage fixed.

Howdy and welcome to the forum. There are lots of great threads about restoration on the Vintage Owner's board. Good luck with your project.

Thanks for the welcome!!! My seam tape and weather stripping showed up today, so tomorrow I am going to try to square the slider in the opening before work.
