Howdy!
Granbury Texas checking in with our "new" '97 Holiday Rambler Endeavor LE with a CAT diesel + turbo and Allison transmission. The coach is 38 ft with one huge slide and we call her "Bertha"

My wife and I have never owned an RV and watched her parents with envy as they retired and began full-timing. Once my wife and I retired from the AF we discovered we still had "itchy" feet and knew we had to get our own RV...no way we could just sit at home and watch the grass grow.

We purchased our '97 Holiday Rambler Endeavor LE off of Ebay...sounds crazy, I know but this was our second vehicle purchase using Ebay, and we ended up with a fabulous coach within our budget. Everything works on this 38' beauty and the turbo diesel really pushes us down the road in comfort.

For now we are just taking short weekend trips while we wait for our "real" retirement to arrive. Oh, and her folks spent the first night with us and Bertha on our maiden flight. (thank goodness most mother-in-law jokes don't apply with my mother-in-law!).

Having loads of fun playing and learning about my RV and really enjoying the information I'm getting from reading all the forums here in iRV2. See you down the road....

From an old B-47 Nav to a B52 guy, welcome to the forum. The forum is every bit as good as a service manual in most cases. Just changed my front jack springs from info in the forum. Without the info I probably wouldn't have been able do it. Some of these members are brilliant.

Have fun on the forum. My kind of people.

Thanks! Have already found a solution to one nagging warning buzz and have also asked for installation instructions from the Brakeswitch guy (a way to soften my Jake brake action). This site is great.

Navs are great...it always nice to have someone nagging you to turn left...(ouch!), just got hit on the arm! Anyway, I couldn't get from A to B without a navigator and I know I can't fix anything without clear and simple directions. I just read one of the blogs on how to install a new digital TV antenna and it even came with pictures! My kind of help.
