Ordered a Winnie 30B and just took delivery. We bought a new 26 Flair in '99 (our first RV)and drove it around the country for 5 years. It was a base model and had 26 things not working when new. 6 trips to Lazy Days and still things wrong (worst was the vibration) but we still managed to have a great time. We put a mc on a rack on the back and would explore for 2 weeks, leave it somewhere, fly home for 2 or 3 weeks and fly back out to explore some more.

The new Winnie is a tad more plush, handles and brakes better (Ford V10). Only major problems are TorqShift trans noise in all gears (even idle at stop), loud wind noise at top corners of windshield, and heavy vibration (again).

Looking for a light weight 2-up motorcycle for the back, and then off to music fests and the west.

FYI: We took it to Hillsborough River SP for the maiden voyage - a great park. $4/RV for the day.

Invent1,hopefully this one will be a lot better than the last rig you had. I've heard of the TorqShift noise in others.

Invent1,

Welcome back!

You will find lots of good info on the Winnebago Industries Owners Forum. But then maybe you already knew about it and the Ford Motorhome Chassis Forum.

Anyhow, thanks for coming back to iV2.com.

You may also be interested in the Winnebago-Itasca Travelers Club.

We look forward to hearing about your travels and experiences with the new Winnie.

Invent1;

We are glad to have you back sharing experiences with us. I have had 2 Winnebagos and not had any vibration problems. I would ask the dealer to check it out, as IMHO, it is not normal. Post often and keep us advised on your travel experiences. The Winnebago Industries Owner's forum may be able to provide answers to some of your questions. Don't hesitate to ask questions.

Don

Invent1...
Congrats on your new Winnebago & Welcome back to iRV2!!
May I suggest you venture down to Winnebago Forum and look around
there also. Many times you can find some great info from other owners of the same manufacturer. (You can also ask for some Winnebago Karma...it is free!)
Again...Congrats and welcome back to iRV2! Please visit & post often!
