I have a 2002 DSDP with less than 47,000 miles. Just found the boots were bad on the ball joints so had to replace all four. I found one other post on this for a 2004 DSDP. Apparently the joints were defective as Tuthill had an extended warranty plan to help with the replacements up to 5 years/50,000 mi. Please advise if any others have had this problem. Also better check yours before the warranty expires.

Several months ago, I posted a heads up on the ball joint problem. I noticed my rubber boots deteriorating, when I was greasing the front end zerks.

I know of and have seen two 2001 DSDP's with the same problem. One has about 66000 miles and the other about 33,000. The owner of one called Tuthill and they said they would not replace.

I have a post asking if anyone has ever replaced just the boot.

SNAIL1 we have an 05 MA 43'. After our move to Missouri the inspection dealer noted we had two cracked boots on the front. We were already scheduled to go to Spartan and they replaced the boots under warranty. Very nice people to deal with.

I have a 2000 DP with 2 slides and on our last outing I heard some considerable creaking noise coming from the right front end. I am at 76000 miles and have a bad feeling this will not be a cheap repair. Assuming it is the boot do I need to replace just the boot or the entire ball joint.
Thanks,
