Bill and Jan say Hello

Hello Everyone, We have just bought a Keystone Raptor 442SP. We are generally happy with our 5th wheel. I have what I think is a problem and would like to know what if anything, I can do, should do or any helpful info on this situation. Before I get into it I would like to know if this is the right forum for a dispute related situation or problem. When we bought our toy hauler, we went from a travel trailer, 29' ft KZ toyhauler, to the Raptor. Never having pulled a 5th wheel before, needless to say, there was and still are several things I needed to know and still need to learn. But what I have learned since getting the 5th wheel, is about different types of hitches from king pin hookup to the different hitches that are available. When I bought the 5th wheel, since I had a canopy on the truck and no 5th wheel hitch I was asked what it would take for us to buy the trailor. I told the sales person and his manager that I would need a deal of a lifetime, the canopy shipped back to my home and a fifth wheel hitch. The manager says what if we shipped your canopy home and put a hitch in for free, would that help in you considering to buy the rig. I thought that a fair deal. When all said and done they installed the Reese 20,000lb Slider hitch. It is a good high but not nessisarily the hitch for a 1st time 5th wheel owner. So with what is here I hope you can see where this is headed. Is this the right forum for this sort of complaint?

Welcome guys.

This website is INVALUABLE for that. MANY long time owners, that are willing to answer ALL the questions/concerns you might have. The forum you posted this is a correct forum for introduction, but not for questions.

Explore the iRV2 site, and post your questions in the 5 wheel trailer forum (there are forums available for ANY type of RV here).

Good luck.
