Bonjour to everyone,

Presently between travel trailers, that is, we sold our old '98 and purchased/ordered a new towable. This new unit is a 2012 model year. We ordered the unit with a "manual awning" ilo of standard electric.
Trailer arrived with an electric awning, but of course, ARGHHHH!.
Have been waiting 3 months for the unit, only to find out now, from the dealer principle that a manual awning is not available from the factory. Yet they ordered it anyway. Many options offered to us, none acceptable. One good point though, was that they offered to return our deposit.

At present, we do not know the make or model of this awning and have e-mailed them for this information. If it's a basic standard elec. one from Carefree Colorado or A E, we will try to upgrade immediately to the Carefree Eclipse. I sure hope the dealer and us (me & la wiffy), can come to an acceptable solution re upgrade/price.

This how I found this site and the great forum, searching for elec. awnings troubles/solutions.

Sorry to bore you all with this woe.

Oh!, Bonjour ya'll

DavidB.

Bon soir mon ami and welcome to the forum. (Please excuse any poor French as it's been 40+ years since I was in school). Good luck with your new unit and many happy trails.
