Bought a Beaver
Howdy everyone
New iRV2 member here. Been camping for years, started out with tents, then bought a 16ft pop up. Used that for about 5 years until the barn mice ate it one winter, so we replaced it with a 42ft Beaver Contessa Westport... baby steps lol
Very active in the Ontario off-road community, and wanted something to trailer the Jeeps with around North America.
As for the Beaver, its a one owner, 33000 miles, mint condition and know the original dealer and full history. We had rented a couple of diesel pushers before this to get a feel for them, quickly learned what we liked and more importantly didn't like as far as features and layout. Received some great advice and help from that original dealer, then spent a year searching for just the right one.
Just had our first weekend in it, loved it, already planning a return trip out to Moab, and a couple of Jeep Jamborees, along with general exploring of course. We even figured out a name for her.
Allow me to introduce... BABS (big ass bus)

Welcome to IRV2. Yes, you did make a huge leap from a pop-up to a 42' Beaver. We did the pop up camper to a motorhome but had a couple of travel trailers in between.
That is a beautiful well made coach. Wishing you many happy miles.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, looks like I'm in good company, 3 other Jeepers, two of them with Beavers
We're very happy with our find, as for the colours, they certainly were not ones I was considering, but first time I saw BABs live I was hooked, she even compliments the Jeep.
Speaking of which, Becks are you going to a particular event in Moab? We were just there for the 50th Easter Jeep Safari, had a great time, but there were sooo many trails we didn't get to try. We are strongly considering returning later this year without the ESJ crowds, perhaps for a RR4W run.

Nice
We didnt make it over to Hells Gate... this time, but had fun on Cliffhanger (above pics) and were supposed to do Metal Masher but had to back out at the air up due to technical issues (3 missing body mounts on the passenger side). This was a trail by fire run as we just finished a 6 week build including the long arms and 37's and literally drove it home from the shop straight onto the trailer, and then right onto the trails, Tires had less than 40 miles on them.
