Hello everyone. I'm Tom and I haul a pack of Great Danes around in a '99 HR Endeavor 38WDS DP. Most of the year, it's dog show to dog show most weekends with the occasional longer trip when I can get the time. At 45, mid-March, I've got a while before full timing is a possibility, but am looking forward to the day Home base is in the foothills of the Sierra, east of Sacramento CA. Caemlyn is the name of my kennel.
Already have learned a great deal from the forum and look forward to learning more. Hopefully will meet some of you on the road... If you ever see 4 or 5 heads hanging out the windows or find it's raining on you on the hiway, that'll be me and the kids. Say hi if you find us. I'll be the idiot walking the whole pack at once!

Caemlyn..Welcome to iRV2 (and the Monaco Forum!) We have quite a few forum members who show dogs..as you can see at this thread...along with great info in the RVing with Pets Forum where we all love to share photos of our furry friends here.

I have to ask you- what vet do you use in your area -and what do you think of a thread that lists good vets for folks traveling on the road who may need one?

Again- welcome to iRV2 ...we hope you visit & post often!

I don't know what he thinks MM, but I think it would be fantastic. I know I (and Roxie) truly love our vet and would gladly recommend him.

We were parked next to a couple last summer and their dog went into convulsions late in the evening. He banged on my door for help and all I could do was go to the office and yes they did have a vets name posted on the bulletin board. Unfortunately, it was too late. I have asked and/or checked the BB when checking in about emergency clinics...Roxie sometimes pokes her nose where she shouldn't.

Please pursue MM.

Oh...didn't mean to hijack the thread....welcome Tom to a great forum that just keeps getting better.

MM - I use Dr. Terri Burley at Airport Pet Clinic in Cameron Park CA... and for emergency or afterhours needs, Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic in Loomis CA - and I think a list of member recommended Veterinarians would be a fantastic idea!

Welcome, Caemlyn, I know what you mean about walking the dogs. I raise
Great Pyrenees, they are loveable dogs, but can be stubborn.
