Wink Brace yerselfs - New RVers on the roads!

Gloria and I have just bought ourselves our first RV and we're looking to be full-timers for the next 2-5 years or more and we ... correction, until Gloria gets tired of it. We've done several motorcycle tours of a month and I've done many motorcycle tours of a month or more; this is a lot like that but with the exception of not being able to sleep on the bike. The motorcycle touring crowd are a wonderful group of folks and it looks like, from what I've read on this site, that RVers are gonna be every bit as much fun and as interesting. So ...
Here's to you and here's to me ...
Friends may we always be.
But, if by chance we disagree,
Nuts to you! Here's to me!

Or something like that. ;-)

My wife and I were Goldwingers. When I started to feel unsafe due to right arm problems, like what Peyton Manning is having, I sold it.
Now we're in a 38 ft. motorhome. Wow -- it's bigger. We bought it in December and have taken a few short adventures through summer. Now we're planning a several month trip. Since you're a newbie like us, we should talk.

Whoa! What a nice welcome from all y'all. Thanks, DON 'n FRANK 'n JOE 'n HATCHMEN. WAYNE, our initial travel plan is to head west from Red Deer, Alberta, and we're now in Vernon BC visiting family. In a week or so, we're going down to the Penticton-Osoyoos area to visit more family. During the last week of October, we're gonna head south to our reservation in Apache Junction AZ for at least a month or two. Then, who knows ... we will have run out of family and can go wherever we want. MAX, we got this RV of ours this past August, that is, a little over a month ago so we're still learning. I've driven truck before but never had to take care of the home issues so every 3rd day is a head-slapper. Thanks again for the welcome. By the way, the Canadian translation of all y'all? ... it's toot la gang! ;-) Now, don't sweat the petty stuff and ... well, you know.

Good to hear from another cycling couple. My wife and I also spent most of our vacations on our bike traveling all over. We decided that we wanted to see more of the country but with a limited amount of time available to get away we decided on a Damon toy hauler, now we have the best of both worlds. We have also found a love for RV'ing so this just made our life that much better.

I have found many RV forums on the net but have settled here as the group here has always been friendly and extremely helpful. You landed in the right spot for sure.

Hopefully you were able to keep the bike and still get to enjoy something other than watching that 84" big screen TV in front of the steering wheel. All of us bikers know that driving is like watching life whereas riding is more like being a part of the show.
