Hi folks! We just took the plunge and purchased our first RV.
New owners of a 1987 Komfort 31 footer. Got the oil changed and a distributer wrench. Retarded the timing a bit and started down the road. Never have driven anything this big...and 'squirrely'. Eastern Wash/Oregon winds were a blowin and it just got worse comin into Idaho, but we made it home in one piece. Joined iRV2 an hour ago and already found out how to replace my two front blown airbags (thanks) and my u-joints. That should smooth out the ride. Molly and I are looking forward to this...C ya later! Ron Fisse

Hi Ron - and Welcome to the Forum!

Now the adventure begins! First with getting your rig "ship-shape" and then with some great times in using it.

You say you had to retard the timing a bit. Was it pinging badly???

Also, what chassis do you have - Chevy or Ford? Each have their own issues and with a bit of work and upgrades they are both good units.

Enjoy your new motorhome!
