Just joined and Happy New Year everyone. We have been around camping and RV's for many years but just became owners when we couldn't leave this '97 PW19 just sittin' there in the empty yard, all alone, and For Sale. So we bought it and here we come! Now we haven't reach the "Golden Years" yet and still work full time jobs so we don't make too many early bird dinners but we're tryin to save toward retiring and being full timers one day. But while we're so eagerly saving $ we can never save time for later. Here in Central FL we are off camping every chance we get even if for just one night and at this rate I'm afraid we won't have enough "time saved" later in life or ever get "around to it" and would like to here how ya'll have saved time to become full timers and do you ever work part time jobs to treat flash backs of full time jobs? Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences. (And job sources)

Harborcityscrambler, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. My wife and I have been living in our coach for almost 4 years now and we have been working during this time. I first did work in campgrounds where and near where we were at. Then I was talked into going out to Apache Junction, Az to run a service shop with a friend who was GM. Now we are back east duing the same kind of work only on a bigger scale. I someday hope to be able to get back on the road and travel more. There is work out there and the Workcamper organization is a way to find it but there are other ways too. Good luck and don't work too hard!

Hi Harborcityscrambler, jump in the waters great, have been fulltiming for a pair of years. And you don,t have to wait till S/S time. Just workamp, you make less but it goes farther.

I love your philosphy on saving money vs saving time. Boy if we could open an account for time I would be making regular deposites!!

Another point I agree on that you stated about camping, You don't have to go far or stay a long time (althought we always want to) to enjoy camping and meeting great people. So save all you can in $ but spend all you have in time enjoying life!
