Checking in
2015 Started with purchasing a 2005 American Eagle 40ft. followed with 4 months travelling through the late summer/fall through and around central and southern British Columbia Canada. Overwintered at home, Black Creek Vancouver Island.
May 2016 we travelled, wandering across Canada to Newfoundland, on the return dropped down into the US Eastern Seaboard as far at Salem, then West on 90, 80, 30, 20 though to Wyoming. From Yellowstone up to Calgary Alberta, then home to Vancouver Island, now confident with full timing in the MH after 25,000 kilometers. Averaging 9.1 mpg (imperial) - measuring by purchased fuel (less the fuel consumed by Generator and Furnace tracked by hour meter record) and distance driven.
Now 1/2 way thru the winter we have wandered up and down Vancouver Island and so far have stayed in: Victoria, Duncan, Port Renfrew, Comox, Courtney, this winter with a combination of dry camping (some call it boondocking) and with some hookups (Seal Bay RV Park, Swamp's Highlands, Pacheedaht Beach Campground, Shincliffe Farm, Erica's new house lot)
Despite the unusual cold and snowy winter, the diesel AuaHot furnace keeps us warm and toasty. The crew at Courtenay RV looks after the rigs regular servicing.
Now into the first weeks of 2017, and this year we are planning to head for the Skagit Tulip festival and North to Alaska.
iRV2 forums were a constant reference for us(when we could get wifi).
