Checking in as ordered

I'm a retired Navy Chief Machinist's Mate who will never stop travelling, visiting, and re-visiting favorite places world-wide.

We have been traveling and living in every type of RV since the early '70's, from motorcycle/tent ("real" motorcycle-R80/7 BMW we logged 350K miles on with no issues), converted vans, travel trailers, 5th wheels, and several Class C and A motor homes. Presently full-timing for the third time, now in a 2016 37' Winnebago Sightseer, will be searching for a used DP on the west coast next year where the selection is much better than east coast. Have done RV maintenance/repair on all systems over the years and have never been afraid to take anything apart alongside the highway, or jury-rig something with whatever is available in the toolbox/pantry/etc to get to the next campground.

Never had ANY faith or confidence in the so-called professionals at RV dealers, precisely why we are spending a week in Forest City so Winnebago can address some warranty issues the dealers won't fix. As a general rule, if I can't fix it myself, it probably won't get fixed.
