Checking in from Central Florida

Hi Ya'll,

New members checking in from Central Florida.
We are Mike and Linda Woods and live in Tavares Florida.
We are new owners to a used 2009 Fleetwood Bounder 35H. (question posted in the manufactures/owners forum)
We are not new to the RV world as we own a 2007 Palomino Puma TT.
I am new to motor homes though.
We are both retired and look forward to taking some trips from Florida up to Georgia and possibly Tennessee. We are planning to relocate to northern Georgia in 2 years or less.
We are on Facebook and look forward to making new friends.

Welcome!

We used to live in FL. Live in NC now. I'd sure like to get a spot in FL to stay for several months of the year in the winter.

Good luck with your RV and happy travels.

Ted

Hi, welcome!
What bigger city are you near? What's it like in that area? I've often wondered what central Florida is like since people like us - who don't want the beach and don't want to pay for it.

Definitely don't want to move here!!! High cost of living, too much traffic, terrible roads, the landscape is flat and boring, people are very unfriendly, too many tourists, etc., etc., etc. Try Arizona.

Hi ya neighbor, welcome. You are 75 miles North of us. Living in the Central part too. Not near the beach but not near the hurricanes and hissiacanes. Seems we have a tornado on occassion though.

Lots of places to spend many months here if you take some time to look. It does take a bit of effort.

Did you know that in 2004 central Florida had 3 hurricanes in 6 weeks ? I've been living in south Florida since 1976 and the only problem I personally have had with hurricanes was Wilma in 2005. I lost 1/2 an orange tree, which took out 1/2 a pool screen enclosure. Wasn't really that big an issue.

Hi, I'm in Altamonte Springs. Maybe we can meet sometime. My daughter and I are new to RV also and might end up in your area as a full time resident.
