Question Chicago downtown

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a new 24 ft Fleetwood Icon. We just got back from a 5 week trip with our children. Started in Florida and went up the east coast and to North Carolina, then to DC and from there up to Boston and Rockport Mass. We then visited Montreal and Mont Tremblant Canada. Niagara Falls and Valparaiso Indiana were stops on our way to Chicago. On the return trip we hit Nashville for good measure. I am a realestate developer and found downtown Chicago lacking for RV access. I am curious if a Vertical indoor RV park right in the city with easy access would be a hit with RVers. I have an idea on how it can be done but wonder if people will pay to be right in the city. It would be large and have alot of services.....from cub games to shows to tours. each floor would have a different theme....like the old west or a desert or europe or anything else that seems interesting. I figure I would have to charge about $80.00 a night. I would love to have a discussion about this idea with anyone that is interested.

It's a great idea but I can't for the life of me understand how you could make it work as a business model. Not to mention moving 40 foot RVs between floors, no engines running indoors, security.

But by all means put me on your list for othe grand opening!

Glad you asked

We would put your rv in place using a dolly type set up. We would handle all of your hook ups as well. I think the first thing we would do at check in is wash the RV and degrease the undercarriage. There would be no driving in the park so it would turn out to be safer for everyone.

Sounds like the beginning of a plan to me... Keep working on it, and keep us up to date on how things progress.

We're from chicago so count us in! How was the trip with the kids? How many/Ages/sexes of the kids? We have two girls 7 and 9 who love to camp/rv/travel, but we've never gone past a few weeks. We are really considering going for 6 mos. to a year. Thanks for any insight on the longer trips. Sue and Bob
