HELLO from Va !!!! I've been lurking here for a little while, and finally decided it time to join since we just purchased our first motorhome, and I'm going to need a little help with it. It's a little old, and needs a little TLC, but the mechanicals are good.

Our "new" baby is an '87 Coachman Leprechaun 26' with 28,000 miles. It's in good shape except for 2 water damaged areas...1 at the right rear under the window (the worst), and 1 on the left side just under the sofa window.

The windows look sealed, but obviously there are leaks somewhere. The lower rear wall on the passenger side is UGLY. It obviously is going to have to come out and be replaced, I just hope it isn't as hard as it looks. Anybody knw how hard it is to get the windows out and reseal them? Also need the exterior "gasket" that goes around the glass.

I guess I should ask where is the best place to get parts for this thing ?

Welcome to the forum from another VA resident (Woodbridge). If you provide your location some may chime in about parts and repair facilities in your area.

Bob

tekrsq;

Welcome to iRV2. Congratulations on the purchase of your first RV. You may want to visit our Vintage RV forum HERE I believe you will find some good info there.

THANKS !!!!!

We're from Richmond. We have a Forest River dealer here, but they said it's next to impossible to get Coachmen parts because Forest River just absobed the Coachmen company name..not the production lines.

I'll check the vintage forum for some more info.

Awesome !! I have a few friends in NOVA. I love going to see them, but I absolutely hate the traffic up there. I think road rage should be legal up there !!!!!

I agree on the traffic. Every day I wonder where some of the drivers get their licenses from - online? Why drive a high powered car if you drive slow in the fast lane?

Happy RVing!
