Hello All,
I am considering buying my first MH (preowned) to live in during the week because I work out of town. Because I plan to eventually pull a trailer (from a small motorcycle trailer to possibly a vehicle), I am thinking a diesel pusher, and I would like at least one slide-out.
Any advice??

Thanks!

lots of options... depending on what your budget is. Personally if this is your first rig... a modern gasser (00 & newer) can be had relatively inexpensive and not have "diesel" service issues.
Not that diesels are "bad" they just have many auxillary systems and can be expensive to maintain. If youre towin 10k lbs... then it might be a consideration.

Jeff;

First welcome to iRV2. We are glad you found us.

You have received some good advise from WeatherTodd. I purchased my first used DP this summer and I have spent over $5000.00 getting it to what I would consider road worthy. Some people are lax in their maintenance and dealers will often overlook items that need fixing to maximize their profit at the expense of the purchaser.

There are many in the classifieds of this very site (click "Classifieds' above), Including THIS little gem:

2002 National Dolphin LX 6356 Workhorse - RV & Motorhome Classifieds

...the sweetest deal on here, though I may be a bit biased.

Its on a Workhorse chassis, ready to tow your toys. I'll personally guarantee it is ship-shape and road ready, no expensive repairs necessary. It'll have 6 new Michelins on it and be filled with 75 gallons of gas when you pick it up. I'll throw in a blue ox towbar and brake buddy too, so you'll be a base-plate away from towing a vehicle 4-down.
