Converting back to RV

Im a Canadian, we get the hottest weather and coldest weather.
In the late 80,s I bought a used Franklin Camper. It had every toy of the time, and beat the tent trailers I froze in. Proud owner backed up my Mazda truck, screwed the jack up, (I’m a farmer) looked at bumper on the ground and purchased a Buick station wagon. Took at tank of gas to go 30 miles.
Broke down and got a cabin, had to mow grass, paint, put in pump out tank, etc. Gave this up and watched the trailers going up and down the highway for years. At 57 now I decided I wanted to relax some as I’m a work a-holic. Being tight I bought a used 2004 Jayco Jay Flight 25.5 rks. Hope I got that right. It looks in mint condition, wish I found this site first.
I have decided to put it on a Camping lot for a year at $1500 dollars until I figure out what I need for camping, and how everything works. Only half hour from home. Got to find a truck to pull this, and yes I know more is better, but you wouldn’t believe what us farmers do with smaller trucks, lol.
Yes they gave me heck at work cause I’m not a camper but an RV. I want to learn to live like handybob, hope I got that right but that’s long ways away.

New to you Jayco

Here is a short term solution(s) for a truck. Maybe the seller will tow it to your seasonal site for you. Could you have a local RV dealer tow it on site for you. This would give you time to research trucks and talk to others at the campground. You are right it is very important to get the right tow vehicle. Campers are generally very friendly and will answer questions you may have. Best of luck with your new adventure.

Hello scoop and welcome to irv2.

I hear if you get into the slip stream of some of those Canadian snow birds you can save a few bucks going south for the winter!

Glad you found us, have fun and good luck!
